ORR LAKE GOLF COURSE LAYOUT
Located in the heart of the Georgian Bay region, Orr Lake Golf Course is a scenic 18 hole course overlooking Orr Lake. It's a popular destination with people coming to golf from Barrie, Midland, Orillia and Wasaga Beach, not just for its reasonable green fees, but because of its natural features and fun golf experience.
The front nine is more mature and tighter than the back nine. The toughest hole on the golf course may be the 600 yard, par 5, 6th hole. The numerous sand traps can make you play a few more strokes than usual. The 2nd hole is both a favorite and nemesis to many of the golfers who play at Orr Lake Golf Club. Measuring only 110 yards, this downhill par 3 over water has always been an exciting hole. Whether it was Charlie Wright knocking in his 7th hole in one to win a match play competition, a member shooting a 13 in the "A" flight of the club championship or the family who comes by once a year to play 9 holes just to see if they can get the ball over the water, this hole certainly creates memories for many a golfer.
TIME WELL SPENT
Orr Lake Golf Club is the perfect spot to spend quality time with friends, business associates and family. Whether you ae located in Barrie, Midland, Wasaga Beach, or Orillia, golf at Orr Lake Golf Club is only a short drive away.
The back nine opened in 2000 and has long open fairways and some very large greens. But don't be deceived! With the fescue lined rough and a lot of risk reward shots the back 9 can provide a challenge to all levels of golfers. The high rolling landscape also provides great views of Orr Lake and the Collingwood Blue Mountains.
